Hand Painted Wine Glasses: Unique Gifts For Wine Lovers
77
Whether it is a housewarming gift, birthday present, or just a way to say thanks for a special favor, incorporating hand painted wine glasses into a gift for wine lovers is sure to win delighted smiles. A set of two beautiful glasses make a great gift all on their own. A couple of glasses can be added to a wine gift basket for a unique touch. When giving hand painted wine glasses, it is important to personalize the design choice to the recipient.
A Gift of Glassware
A set of two wine glasses with hand painted designs is great for a special couple. For those who entertain on a regular basis, a set of four glasses can be a nice gift. When giving painted glasses, choose designs that fit the recipients. Possible choices in design could be colors that match the recipient’s kitchen, a shape or design that says something about the recipient’s job, personality or hobbies, or a design that incorporates a monogram.
Wine Gift Baskets
Wine gifts baskets are almost as much fun to put together as they are to receive. Hand painted designs on glasses included in such a gift basket will add a unique and personal touch. These additions will make a basket stand out, and not appear to be something that could be purchased from a corporate gift basket book. In addition to the glasses, other items that could be included in such a gift basket include:
1. One or two bottles of wine;
2. A collection of small wine bottle samples;
3. A nice corkscrew;
4. Glass or metal decorative cork;
5. Wine glass charms;
6. Coasters; and
7. A selection of fruit or cheese that goes with the wine.
Using Wine Glasses as the Packaging
Using a single wine glass as the actual gift basket can be a great idea during holidays or corporate events, when numerous small gifts are necessary. This can also be a fun idea when providing a small thank you gift for a friend. To create this gift, individuals must first pick out the perfect hand designed wine glass. Choose a monogrammed glass or one which contains the recipient’s favorite color.
Once a glass is chosen, a small gift bag or colored cellophane can be pushed in side. Small candies, pieces of fruit, nuts, and other goodies can then be added. Once filled, the gift bag or cellophane can be secured with a ribbon. For added style, a wine charm can double as the to/from tag holder.
There are dozens of ways hand painted wine glasses can be used in gifts for those that love wine. Using glassware in a gift is versatile, allowing the giver to design both small and large gifts for almost any occasion. A large gift basket filled with all the tools wine connoisseurs need would make a great wedding gift. A smaller basket with a single bottle of high-end wine and a nice set of glasses would be a wonderful gift for someone just graduating college and setting up house for the first time.

I've seen these around- they do make excellent gifts! Fabulous Hub.
I bought a couple of hand painted glasses at a craft fair as a present for a friend of mine. They were purple-her favourite colour-so I knew that they would be well received, even though they were not made specifically for her.
Congratulations on your hubnugget nomination
